This new release is focused on improving how you can filter and search for courses within the LMS. Categories are a big part of the LMS and it’s used to display content that is grouped by category name. For example, if you have a category called “New Hire” or “New Students” you can tag content (videos, PDF’s, Articles, Programs, etc.) based on that category name and display it in form of widgets on your home page or other pages within the LMS.
dialogEDU v9.5 expands categories to courses. This is important because there wasn’t an effective way to group courses by category name prior to this release. The clients that used targeting as a grouping method found it too labor intensive which is why we adopted the feature. Thank you for your feedback!
